Kirby Sentria (2006-2012)
The Kirby Sentria came out in a dashing grey with orange accents. The Sentria takes the power of design to a new, more modern level with softer lines and gentle curves. The handle design is more ergonomic.

The nozzle bumper is now higher up the ends of the power nozzle which gives better protection to furniture.

The air intake guard was redesigned to take the newly redesigned and reintroduced 'Handi-Butler' air powered rotary tool used for polishing and cleaning intricate objects.
It was then discontinued at the end of 2008/early 2009.
In 2007 the floor care kits nozzle was changed to a strong polymer but were up to 50% lighter.
The upholstery tool was redesigned for faster pick up with each pass.

The name of the model was imprinted on to the handle grip adding a touch of class.

In 2011 the handle locking feature was improved so you could now lock the handle upright if you wished, making it easier to move the unit when carrying it.
At the end of 2008 the base pan of the power plant was changed to a lightweight but very strong polymer.
Also on the Sentria the 'ZippBrush' was updated towards the end of the Sentria run.

Here is a photo of my Sentria II when I bought it new and complete at the time.
The first Sentria IIs still had the same grey cord as the first Sentria, but soon the cord changed to match the machine itself.
