The Kirby company celebrated it's 100th anniversary in style as they proudly introduced a new model designed with elegance and sophistication in mind according to the quality brouchure and to be fair they weren't lying.

The curvilinear themes fully enveloped the Avalir's construction from the newly designed easy-to-fit handle grip that fits the user's hand like a glove, to the open framework of the handle fork.

The eligence of the Avalir is carried forward with the handsome black and delightful red accents which are reminiscent of previous popular models such as the Kirby Heritage II, 505 and previous models to that.

For a limited time Kirby put a 100th anniversary commemorative logo on the handle fork to proudly boast the Kirby company's impressive longevity.
Kirby Avalir 'Multi-Surface Shampoo System'
With the arrival of the Kirby Avalir, Kirby set a new standard in homecare with the introduction of the 'Multi-Surface Shampoo System' redesigned for ease-of-use with the quick removeable collection tray. This not only shampoos carpets to the CRI gold rating but it cleans hard floors and can scrub tiles too.

The Kirby 'Floor Care Kit' was retired for polishing hard floors and was replaced with this roller and miracle shine solution.
You would apply it by the spray to the floor then go over it with this mop fitted in the new 'Multi-Surface Shampoo System'.
There was also a tile and grout kit with a brush roll with various length bristles and tile and grout cleaning solutions for scrubbing tiles and other hard floor surfaces.

As well as the standard HEPA bags Kirby made carbon filter bags to help neutralise pet odour.

The Kirby Avalir 'Multi Shampoo System' introduced the 'Miracle Shine Kit' replacing the regular 'Floor Care Kit'.

In 2017 Kirby altered the Avalir giving it more red accents as seen in the following photos.
